The Stakeholder Capitalism Insignia and Pledge expresses your organization’s or your personal commitment to the non-partisan principles of Stakeholder Capitalism–a non-partisan business practice to enhance returns for investors only by creating value for customers, employees, supply chain and distribution partners, communities, and the environment.

Stakeholder capitalists pursue their purpose, profits, and other goals and objectives without externalizing or offloading costs on society by underpaying and under-supporting employees and subjecting them to dangerous working conditions; providing dangerous or mis-represented products and services; leaving behind abandoned or damaged infrastucture and polluting the environment, etc.

People of all political affiliations are welcome.

Placing the insignia on your organization’s web site or on your personal social media pages is a simple way to tell your stakeholders or community of your belief that the best way to enhance returns for owners and investors is to create value for all customers, employees, supply chain and distribution partners, communities, and the environment.

The Stakeholder Capitalism insignia is not a commitment to perfection or a guarantee that no stakeholders ever will be hurt by the actions of an organization or professional dedicated to these principles. The insignia stands for organizations, professionals, or citizens who support a capitalism that enhances returns for investors by creating wealth for all stakeholders rather than by extracting it from them.

Stakeholder Capitalism is a strictly non-partisan, non-sectarian movement to which all well-meaning people throughout the world are welcome.

There are three EEA Stakeholder Capitalism insignias that can be placed on your web site, social media pages, business cards or other marketing materials. There is no obligation on the part of EEA members to use the insignia.

The Stakeholder Capitalism Pledge: The Meaning of This Insignia

By displaying this insignia, you as a citizen, investor, employee, or business organization support the principles of Stakeholder Capitalism that enhance returns for investors by creating value for employees, customers, supply chain and distribution partners, communities, and the environment.

When, as a citizen, you have a reasonable choice, you will invest in, do business with, work for, or welcome to your community organizations that seek to prosper by creating wealth and equitably dividing the pie rather than on those who focus on extracting wealth for the benefit of a few.

In supporting this movement, you reserve the right to vote on the right, the left, or the center, and to practice the religion and lifestyle of your choice.

By displaying this insignia on your’s or your organization’s social media and/or web sites, you wish to join other voices in affirming to investors, stakeholders and organizations of all types around the world that there are potentially millions of uncounted organizations like yours or people like you who every day make decisions based on these principles and that it’s time to start recognizing these voices.

You or your organization join others of all political stripes and religions in a plea to capitalists and governments throughout the world that the path to greater profits for investors and better experiences for all stakeholders is through the creation of wealth for all stakeholders for the benefit of all rather than through the extraction of wealth for the benefit of a few.
